Welcome Home: Custom Door Mat Girls’ Night Out

Grab your friends, your sister, your neighbor, your work bestie — or just bring yourself — and join us for a fun Girls’ Night Out at The Creative Jam.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, Lee West of Personalee4u will guide you step by step as you create your own custom welcome mat. You’ll choose your design when purchasing your ticket, then choose your paint colors during class.

Design options include funny, cozy, Adirondack-inspired, pet-loving, camping/RV-themed, and personalized styles. Want to make it extra personal? You can add your name, family name, or custom personalization for $10. You must email [email protected] before 7/6 to request the addition of a name, etc. Requests received after that date will not be filled.

No experience is needed. This is meant to be relaxed, social, and fun — the kind of night where you can chat, laugh, make something cute for your front door, and leave saying, “Okay, I actually love this.”

We even have a small little gift for participants, because Girls’ Night Out deserves a little extra treat.

This relaxed, playful event features a 6-foot bead bar filled with beautiful beads to choose from. You’ll browse the bead buffet, pick your favorites, and create two custom bracelets that feel completely your own — sweet, colorful, meaningful, funky, sparkly, earthy, or whatever your little bead-loving heart decides.

And because apparently we are now people who sip fancy soda while making bracelets — and honestly, good for us — your ticket also includes one DIY dirty soda kit. Rattles are ancient instruments found in many cultures around the world. In this workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of forming, filling, and adorning your own unique rattle using provided materials.

As you create, you’ll have the opportunity to choose the sound, texture, and decorative elements that feel meaningful to you. Your finished rattle can be used in drum circles, meditation, movement, creative rituals, or simply as a handmade instrument for grounding and connection.

Create your own soft and cheerful sunflower stuffed animal in this guided crochet workshop.

In this class, you’ll make a sunflower-inspired plushie using cozy chenille-style yarn and crochet techniques. This sweet stuffed sunflower is full of personality and makes a fun handmade gift, desk buddy, shelf sitter, or sunny little friend to keep for yourself.

This class is designed for crocheters who already have basic crochet experience. Attendees should be comfortable holding yarn and hook, making basic stitches, and following simple crochet directions. This is not a learn-to-crochet class.

Each Mystic Makers evening includes:

• a deeply grounding sound bath, designed to help your nervous system soften and settle
• a small, meaningful creative project—simple, intentional, and accessible to everyone (no “art skills” required)
• space to reflect, reset, and carry something tangible home that holds the energy of the night

Join us for a festive Christmas in July Wood Ornament Workshop at The Creative Jam.

In this relaxed, beginner-friendly class, you’ll paint and assemble layered wood ornaments using paint, glue, and decorative details. You'll paint and assemble all three designs including a cheerful Joy Snowman, a cozy Cardinal Birch Scene, and a festive Christmas Ball Ornament.

The snowman and cardinal pieces are approximately 5", and the Christmas ball ornament is approximately 3". These make sweet handmade gifts, holiday keepsakes, or a fun way to enjoy a little Christmas spirit in the middle of summer.

No experience needed — just come ready to paint, glue, and create something festive.

Christmas in July Ceramics Ornament Paint Set

Add a little extra Christmas in July fun with this open-paint ceramics option at The Creative Jam.

Each ticket includes a set of four ceramic ornaments — reindeer, gnome, Santa, and melty snowman — plus use of our paints, brushes, and supplies. This is not a guided class, but a relaxed open-paint activity where you can sit, paint, and decorate your ornaments your way.

Our Summer Craft & Crop is a relaxed, no-frills creative day designed for anyone who loves making things. Bring whatever project you're excited about—scrapbooking, junk journaling, card making, sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, diamond art, painting, coloring, beading, or just about any portable craft. Whether you're hoping to finish a long-forgotten project or start something new, you'll have plenty of table space, air conditioning, and a welcoming community of fellow makers.

This is an open create day (8am-8pm), not a class. There are no scheduled activities, no catered meals, no games, and no prizes—just uninterrupted time to spread out, create, chat, and enjoy a day doing what you love.

Coffee and tea are included, and water and soda will be available for purchase.

You're welcome to bring a light, non-refrigerated lunch and snacks. Please note that there is no refrigerator or microwave available. If you'd rather head out for a meal, we're conveniently located near several local restaurants, and you're welcome to come and go throughout the day. If you choose to have food delivered, we ask that you enjoy it outside to help keep our creative space clean and comfortable for everyone.

Bring your supplies, settle in, and make a day of it. Sometimes the best plan is simply spending the day creating with people who get it.

Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly Girls Night Out where you’ll make two adorable succulent-inspired projects: one real succulent to take care of, and one sea glass succulent you absolutely cannot kill.

First, you’ll plant a live succulent in a cute container and decorate it with small resin elements to give it personality, charm and just the right amount of tiny magical nonsense.

Then, you’ll create a sea glass succulent in a terracotta pot — a sweet, coastal-inspired plant that requires no watering, no sunlight and no plant guilt whatsoever.

No green thumb required. No art experience required. This class is all about having fun, making something cute and spending a summer evening with good people.

You’ll leave with:

• A live succulent planting in a decorated container
• A sea glass succulent in a terracotta pot
• A little creative reset
• And at least one plant you are guaranteed not to kill

Join us for an uplifting Community Drum Circle led by Monkey Bee Reiki!

Whether you've been drumming for years or have never picked up a drum before, you're warmly invited to gather in rhythm, connection, and community. Drum circles are about more than making music—they're about being present, sharing energy, reducing stress, and experiencing the joy of creating something together.

Bring your own drum or percussion instrument if you have one. A limited number of drums and rhythm instruments will be available to borrow.

This gathering is offered as a love offering to benefit The Creative Jam Foundation. Donations of any amount are deeply appreciated and help us continue creating welcoming, accessible creative experiences for our community, but a donation is never required. Everyone is welcome.

Across cultures and throughout history, drums have been used for connection—connection to self, to community, and to something greater. In this hands-on class, you’ll create your own frame drum using sustainably and ethically sourced materials, then explore the calming, grounding power of rhythm through guided meditation and gentle drumming.

Each participant will craft a one-of-a-kind drum that reflects their own energy and intention. You’ll also receive a rhythm mallet and travel stand, so your drum is ready to be used long after the class ends.

This experience includes:

• Guided meditation to center and connect
• Insight into the cultural and historical significance of drumming
• Step-by-step instruction to create your own frame drum
• Group drumming to explore rhythm and relaxation

Drumming is known to help quiet the mind, regulate the nervous system, and create a sense of balance between body and spirit. Whether you’re here for the creative process, the meditative experience, or something you can’t quite name yet—you’re welcome.

This workshop is also the beginning of something new at The Creative Jam.

We’ll soon be introducing a recurring community drum circle, and this is your opportunity to create a drum that’s truly your own—something you can bring back, play, and grow with over time. There’s something powerful about not just participating… but showing up with an instrument you created yourself. Imagine sitting in a circle, surrounded by others, each of you playing a drum you made with your own hands.

Led by Karie of MonkeyBee Reiki, this workshop offers a supportive and meaningful space to create something truly personal.

This three-day creative getaway is designed for people who love to sew, quilt, and spend uninterrupted time making things alongside other creative souls. Bring your sewing machine, bring your projects, and settle in for a weekend where the only thing on your to-do list is stitching.

The retreat takes place in the Creative Jam’s beautiful log cabin studio near Lake George, filled with natural light from 42 windows and bright lighting designed for detailed creative work. Every participant will have their own 6' table space to spread out, sew comfortably, and make real progress on projects.

This retreat tends to attract the best kind of creative people — encouraging, generous with tips, and happy to chat while the machines hum. Beginners, experienced quilters, and everyone in between are welcome.

Retreat Schedule

Friday | 1 PM – 8 PM
Arrival, setup, and welcome sewing time.
We’ll kick off the retreat with a relaxed pizza and wings welcome dinner while everyone settles in and starts stitching.

Saturday | 9 AM – 9 PM
Our longest sewing day. Expect lots of project progress, laughter around the tables, and the wonderful rhythm of a room full of machines humming.
Lunch and dinner are catered, so you can focus on sewing.

Sunday | 9 AM – 3 PM
One more creative stretch of sewing time to finish projects, share what you’ve been working on, and wrap up a wonderful weekend together.
Lunch is included.

Altogether, you’ll enjoy 25 hours of dedicated sewing time — plenty of space to finally make real progress on those projects waiting at home.
