In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll work with precut glass pieces while learning the foundational stained glass techniques of copper foiling and soldering. Kim will guide you through assembling the individual leaves into a glowing seasonal wreath that will look beautiful hanging in a window throughout the fall.

Get into the balloon-festival spirit with a colorful Girls’ Night Out project that’s almost as cheerful as a sky full of hot air balloons!

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the basics of paper quilling as you roll, shape, and arrange colorful paper strips to create your own dimensional hot air balloon. Choose the colors that make you happy—bright rainbow shades, moody jewel tones, soft pastels, or something completely your own.

Your finished balloon will be displayed in a rustic wooden frame, ready to take home and show off just in time for the Adirondack Balloon Festival.

No quilling experience is needed, and all materials—including the frame—are provided. Tools will be available to use during class, or you may add a take-home quilling tool set for $7 so you can keep the tiny-paper-swirling magic going at home.

As part of Girls’ Night Out, refreshments will be provided. Bring your Girls’ Night Out passport to receive your stamp—and if this is your first event, we’ll get you started with one.

Girls’ Night Out: Macramé Chakra Wall Hanging

For this Girls’ Night Out, Tammie Rescott of Lotus Moon Macramé will guide you through creating a chakra-inspired macramé wall hanging using soft cotton cord, natural wooden rings, and seven raw stones in a beautiful rainbow of color.

You do not need to know a single macramé knot before you arrive. Tammie will walk you through the process step by step, and by the end of the evening, you will have a finished wall hanging that feels earthy, colorful, a little magical, and completely handmade by you.

Bring a friend, come on your own, and settle in for an evening of creativity and connection. This is the kind of project that looks delightfully impressive without requiring you to arrive as some sort of bohemian knotting goddess.

Using a favorite photo of your pet, you’ll learn approachable acrylic techniques for building a portrait step by step, including simple sketching, color mixing, layering, and expressive brushwork. We’ll focus on capturing your pet’s personality—those soulful eyes, floppy ears, curious tilt, or proud posture—rather than striving for perfect realism.

Important style note:

This class uses a loose, colorful, expressive painting style, similar to the example shown. Your finished piece will be inspired by your pet’s photo, but interpreted in a painterly, artistic way. Chop, mix, laugh, and make something wonderfully wild during this hands-on Girls’ Night Out!

Fire Cider is a traditional herbal vinegar infusion made with a bold, flavorful blend of ingredients such as garlic, onion, ginger, horseradish, citrus, herbs, peppers, and warming spices. During this beginner-friendly workshop, Cheryl Romano will guide you through creating your own batch from scratch.

You’ll learn about the traditional ingredients used in Fire Cider, how to prepare them, and how to store, strain, and use your finished infusion. Then you’ll chop, layer, mix, and fill your own quart-size mason jar to take home and finish infusing.

No experience is needed, and you do not need to bring a thing. Cheryl is supplying all ingredients, jars, tools, and materials. We’ll also have refreshments included, along with your Girls’ Night Out passport, so you can settle in, enjoy the evening, and make something delightfully fiery.

During the class, you will:

Class Description

Add a warm seasonal glow to your fall décor with a pair of freestanding 3D stained glass pumpkins.

You’ll create one approximately 6-inch pumpkin and one approximately 4-inch pumpkin using precut pieces of orange and white glass. During the workshop, you’ll learn copper foiling, soldering, and the special techniques used to assemble dimensional stained glass pieces.

The completed pumpkins are designed to stand on a tabletop, mantel, shelf, or fall display.

Class Description

Bring a warm, peaceful glow to your holiday décor with a pair of freestanding 3D stained glass angel tealights.
