Becoming 2026: A Creative New Year’s Eve Workshop

Tuesday, December 31 • 6–8 PM at The Creative Jam

Step into the new year in a way that feels meaningful, calm, creative, and truly yours.

As the rest of the world rushes toward midnight, Becoming 2026 invites you to slow down, breathe, and gently imagine the year ahead — not through resolutions or pressure, but through reflection, creativity, and intention.

We’ll begin the evening with soft light, warm drinks, and a grounding moment to settle into the space. From there, you’ll be guided through Reverse Reflection™, a Creative Jam–original practice where you step into your future self and “look back” on 2026 as if the year has already unfolded with clarity, joy, and surprising moments of growth. Through writing and optional sharing, you’ll explore who you became, what shifted, and what felt aligned along the way.

With your written reflections as inspiration, you’ll then create your own Becoming Board — a modern vision board centered on identity, energy, and the feelings you want to carry with you into the new year. Instead of focusing on resolutions or fixed outcomes, you’ll build a visual reflection of who you’re becoming: the rhythms, colors, intentions, and inner shifts that will support you throughout 2026.

We’ll share light snacks and sparkling non-alcoholic bubbly as we create, easing into the evening with warmth and connection. Toward the end of the workshop, we’ll step outside for a quiet, meaningful moment of light to welcome all that 2026 has in store.

This workshop is a beautiful alternative to the noise and pressure of traditional New Year’s celebrations. It’s reflective, creative, cozy, and full of heart — a way to enter the new year with presence, clarity, and a sense of possibility.

In this relaxed, guided workshop, you’ll layer real sea glass pieces to build a glowing tree that looks gorgeous on a mantle, side table, or holiday centerpiece. We’ll walk you through design ideas, how to place your glass for depth and sparkle, and finishing touches so your tree looks polished and display-ready by the time you leave.

Beginner Watercolor: Soft Starts & Small Wins

The Creative Jam Foundation is proud to support Watercolor 101! This monthly watercolor series is designed for absolute beginners — no pressure, no perfection, just gentle learning and small creative wins.

JANUARY CLASS: Valentine hearts, flowy flowers, and curious cats. Perfect for your Valentine cards!

Each class, you’ll complete small watercolor pieces while learning foundational skills like brush control, water flow, and simple shapes. We’ll explore leaves, flowers, trees, tiny animals, and light landscapes in an easy, approachable way that builds confidence month by month.

Instruction is supportive, relaxed, and beginner-friendly. You don’t need experience, just curiosity.

Each student will receive a watercolor starter kit at their first class, which you can use to practice outside of class. Bring your watercolor set to each monthly class and watch your skills grow!

Whether you’ve never opened the app before or you’ve explored it a little and want to understand what all the tools do, this workshop will guide you step by step.

Across two hands-on sessions, you’ll explore the essential Procreate tools, brushes, layers, colors, and features that form the foundation of digital drawing. By the end, you’ll have the skills and confidence to create your own small artwork inside the app.

Mystic Makers: A Sound Bath & Creative Ritual Series

Step into a slower rhythm.

Mystic Makers is a monthly evening of rest, reflection, and gentle creation at The Creative Jam, aligned with the energy of the moon. Most months, we gather under the New Moon—a time for intention, beginnings, and quiet inward listening. In March, we’ll meet under the Full Moon, embracing illumination, release, and a little extra magic while Amy is away.

Each Mystic Makers evening includes:

• a deeply grounding sound bath, designed to help your nervous system soften and settle
• a small, meaningful creative project—simple, intentional, and accessible to everyone (no “art skills” required)
• space to reflect, reset, and carry something tangible home that holds the energy of the night

Macramé Wall Hanging Workshop – Create Your Own Boho Beauty!

Ready to get knotty? Join us for a relaxing macramé workshop where you’ll learn foundational knots and techniques while creating a gorgeous wall hanging (exactly like the sample shown!). No experience needed — your instructor will guide you step-by-step from simple cords to stunning texture.

Shake off the winter chill and spend two cozy, creative days inside our warm Adirondack log-cabin studio. Whether you scrapbook, knit, quilt, paint, journal, crochet, or show up with an overflowing wagon of “I finally have time to do this” projects — this retreat is for all makers.

Each attendee gets their own 6-foot table for the entire weekend so you can spread out, settle in, and get wonderfully lost in your creativity.
